Linda Rekas Sloan concentrates her practice in the areas of bankruptcy, receivership and insolvency law litigation, corporate/business law and litigation, commercial transactions and real estate transactional work. She currently serves on the panel of state court appointed receivers.

Linda advises and represents banks, credit unions and other institutional lenders on creditors rights and related matters, including in bankruptcies, receiverships, workouts, foreclosures, repossession and collection matters in Rhode Island and Massachusetts.

Linda has also served a court-appointed receiver for insolvent companies in Rhode Island, including operating the company to find a suitable buyer or liquidating the company for the benefit of secured or other creditors.

Linda also represents businesses in transactions, business formations, contracts, commercial real estate, workouts, other corporate and business matters and advises businesses in commercial disputes and litigation.

Ms. Rekas Sloan graduated from Providence College (B.S. 1991) and Boston University School of Law (J.D. 1994). She is admitted to practice in Rhode Island, Massachusetts and before the United States District Courts for the Districts of Rhode Island, Massachusetts and Connecticut.
