Harris Weiner concentrates his practice in commercial litigation, including contract, real estate, intellectual property, employment, administrative and financial disputes.  Mr. Weiner also advises corporations, LLCs and partnerships on risk management and governance, negotiates leases and contracts, and enforces trademarks and copyrights.

Mr. Weiner has over 22 years of trial, appellate and administrative experience in State and Federal Courts in Rhode Island and Massachusetts.  He clerked for Rhode Island Supreme Court and Federal Court judges, was Deputy Counsel to the Governor and Executive Counsel for Transportation.  He practiced at major Providence and Boston commercial firms prior to joining Salter McGowan Sylvia & Leonard, Inc.

Mr. Weiner received the Rhode Island Bar Association’s Pro Bono Publico Award and its Bar Journal Writing Award for his article on Eminent Domain Law.  For the past three years, he has also been selected as one of the top business litigators in Rhode Island by Super Lawyers® based on peer evaluation and an independent review of his professional achievements.  Additionally, he received Martindale Hubbell’s highest AV® peer rating for legal ability and ethical standards.

A Bowdoin College graduate, he earned an MBA from Bryant College and his law degree from Washington University in St. Louis.  A member of the Pawtucket Board of Canvassers, Mr. Weiner is also Counsel to the Rhode Island Senate Minority Leader.
